For more than twenty-five years Daniel W. Santos has been creating fine furniture. Dan personally undertakes all aspects of the furniture-making process, from initial client contact, through design, construction and finishing. His 1,200 square foot studio, adjacent to his home, is located on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. All of his work is built to order, designed specifically for each client's particular needs and desires; most pieces are one-of-a-kind. Please contact Dan to discuss anything that you have seen on these pages or any other idea that you may have for a special piece for your home or office.
Dan studied architecture and engineering in college and worked as a practicing civil engineer before turning to furniture-making full-time, as a means of personal fulfillment and self-expression.
Dan has been featured in the Cape Cod Times, Cape Cod Life Magazine, Cape Cod and Islands Home, on Boston’s Channel 5 news magazine "Chronicle" and in the "Used Lumber Project Book" by Kerry Pierce.
Dan has studied woodcarving with European master carver Dimitrios Klitsas, Windsor chair-making with Mike Dunbar at The Windsor Institute and furniture-making at the renowned North Benett Street School in Boston. |
